Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the LatheExpert Pro application (the “Service”). By downloading, accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service
LatheExpert Pro is a calculation and reference tool for lathe operators and CNC programmers. It provides geometric calculations, cutting-parameter suggestions, tolerance lookups and generated NC program fragments. The Service is supplied as a mobile app and a web build.
2. Use License
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own machining work. Under this licence you may not:
- decompile, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app;
- resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the app or its content;
- remove any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices.
This licence terminates automatically if you breach any of these restrictions.
3. Engineering Results — Important
All calculations, generated programs and process suggestions are reference values only. Machining involves tooling, material batches, machine rigidity, controller dialects and safety factors that no app can fully capture. You are responsible for verifying every value against the drawing, the process sheet, the tooling and the machine before cutting metal.
Generated blocks are G18 contour skeletons: they do not include tool-nose compensation, work coordinates or stock allowance, and assume diameter programming unless you switch the preference.
Thread and tolerance data follow the standard editions noted in the app (e.g. GB/T 1800, GB/T 3177, ISO 60° metric threads). Where a standard, a drawing or a customer specification differs from a result shown in the app, the standard, drawing or specification prevails.
4. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any defect will be corrected.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of profit, loss of production, scrapped workpieces, damaged tooling or machine downtime, arising from the use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
6. Your Data
The Service stores your inputs and history locally on your device. We have no access to it and cannot recover it for you. Please keep your own backups of values you need to retain. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. The current version is always published on this page with its “last updated” date. By continuing to use the Service after a revision you accept the revised Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
